Apollo is seeking a Principal to join its Industry Research group focused on the Retail and/or Automotive & Mobility vertical(s). The candidate will work as part of the Corporate Credit team on all stages of the investment process and will focus on new and existing investments up and down the capital structure.. The investment professional will work on credit opportunities spanning performing loans/bonds to special situation credit opportunities including private credit (both investment grade and sub-investment grade). The Principal will contribute to various activities including initial diligence and investment committee process to monitoring and reporting to support PMs across the Apollo Credit platform.

10+ years of investment banking, advisory (i.e. Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Industry focus) or buy-side credit investing experience
Comfort and curiosity with AI tools (e.g., large language models, AI-assisted research and coding platforms); prior experience applying AI in an investment or analytical context is a plus
