The Dry Utilities Specialist assists the coordination of the dry utility, ISP, and fire protection designs with project consultants and internal teams, ensuring clear documentation, permit tracking, and service readiness during the preconstruction phase. The position will report to the Dry Utilities Lead. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Assist with routing and access planning for fire risers, sprinkler rooms, and hydrants.
Track plan submittals and follow-up with consultants to close open comments from fire departments.
Monitor integration of fire protection needs within architectural and MEP drawings.
Coordinate utility and low voltage design redlines into drawing sets and BIM models.
Attend coordination calls and document action items for consultant teams.
Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Utility Infrastructure, or Construction Management or other related fields.
2–5 years in utility coordination, MEP design support, or field construction administration.
Familiarity with utility routing, service entry requirements, and MEP documentation. Basic understanding of permitting and municipal utility processes.
Experience managing consultants, contracts, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong leadership and organizational management capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.
Strategic thinker with ability to forecast risks and align teams toward delivery milestones.
5-day work week (Monday-Friday)
