Hill International is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is open to collect resumes in anticipation of upcoming work.
Minimum of six (6) years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience.
Must hold an active Professional Engineer’s License.
NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction (only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval).
PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification or NECEPT Field Technician Certification. Provide and supervise daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure project compliance with plans and specifications.
Be proactive and alert project management professionals to issues that may arise in the field.
Provide solutions to mitigate those problems.
Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
Document the daily inspection report and various other reports.
Assist in the management of CM/CI projects.
Manage a pool of inspectors and review their timesheets and expense reports.
Monitor project budgets and prepare supplements as needed.
Assist in the preparation of proposals and statements of interest.
Attend field meetings, training, and social meetings outside working hours (e.g. dinner meetings, client board meetings).
Provide technical support to inspectors as needed.
Monitor inspector certifications and assist in scheduling (re)certifications as needed.
Interact with client representatives.
