Overview

Director, Sponsor Finance

8+ years of related experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Previous leadership experience preferred.

Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.

Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics and has market specific awareness.

May require up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

Execute the division's strategic plan and guide your team in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets.
Lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen customer relationships.
Lead the growth and development of the team's general portfolio within the Private Banking team, as part of the greater Regional Banking business line.
Support the team in credit structuring discussions, portfolio health management, and market dynamics responsiveness.
Support the Division CEO in executing the Bank's strategic plan, focusing on growing the loan and deposit portfolio of the assigned region or business line.
Execute the tactical strategy regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets.
Guide the credit structuring development process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees.
Manage portfolio health and proactively address deteriorating loan performance, mitigating risk from market developments, service delivery complications, and product adoption issues.
Foster strong working relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, etc.) and facilitates team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
