Overview

Responsibilities

• Execute the business line strategic plan and guide your team in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets as measured by specific KPI’s, such as Loan and Deposit Growth, Fee Income, Net Income and other portfolio management metrics.
• Lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand our market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen the relationship with our customers.
• Develop and execute the local strategic plan to retain and expand existing client relationships.
• Manage the sales process to identify and solicit targeted prospects within the local addressable market.
• Represent the team in the local community.
• Lead in structuring, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of a variety of major and complex loans, deposits and treasury products in compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Lead business development activities and solicitation of new business based on the target market.
• Support sales team with client and prospect calls to promote and sell Bank products and services.
• Lead recurring sales, pipeline and portfolio management meetings with the sales and credit team to ensure calling efforts are ongoing with a consistent pipeline and the credit portfolio is being managed effectively.
• Effectively use CRM to ensure calling efforts and opportunities are logged and review reports and forecasts for accuracy.
• Compile and analyze market research data to develop recommendations regarding products and services focused on needs of target market.
• Assist Relationship Managers with pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
• Review loan presentations for structure, pricing and accuracy, prior to submittal to credit administration.
• Present loan requests to credit administration and/or loan committee.
• Maintain a superior knowledge of financial industry status and trends.
• Recommend to senior management those products and services experiencing less than satisfactory performance.
• Represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business.
• Manage and develop team of lenders and analysts.

Qualifications

• May require up to 50% travel.
