As a member of the Brookfield Properties Development housing team, the Project Manager will manage the housing development for assigned assets. This includes responsibility for assisting with due diligence of any potential land acquisition, coordination of detailed building design and engineering, internal approvals, all required regulatory approvals and permits, and project turn-over to respective Homeowners Association boards.
Bachelor’s degree in planning, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
7-10 years of industry related experience in one or more of residential project management, design, development and/or commercial project management would be required.
Proficiency in the skill sets of project management is required.
Desire to not only accomplish tasks but to continually improve upon processes and stay current with changes in the industry.
Ability to read site and building plans and specifications.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with project management and design software.
Strong ‘hands-on’ manager with good decision making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team building skills.
Flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines.
Willingness to commute to project sites, consultant offices, and public agencies regularly.
Willingness to serve on HOA boards, which could be an evening obligation.
Willingness to attend City meetings and public hearings, which could be an evening obligation.
