As an Engineering Manager at Compass, you'll lead high-performing teams building the tools that power daily workflows for hundreds of thousands of real estate agents. We are currently building a talent pool of exceptional engineering leaders to head teams across key areas of our product ecosystem including Broker Productivity, Agent Client Tools and CRM.
You will manage a lean, agile, and high-performing squad consisting of core full-time Compass engineers and a flexible pool of strategic contractors. This is an execution-focused leadership role where you will translate business needs into technical requirements, unblock development velocity, and ensure that our features are secure, performant, and built upon our centralized platform foundation. Broker Productivity: Focusing on streamlining complex transaction management, compliance, and back-office SaaS workflows to help managing brokers run their businesses seamlessly.
Agent Client Tools - Buy-Side: Crafting highly collaborative, consumer-facing interfaces and agent tools that guide buyers through every step of the journey, from initial home search to close.
CRM Automation: Architecting programmatic engines, trigger-based workflow automations, and intelligent task-management systems that drive daily agent efficiency.
CRM Platform: Building the highly scalable backend infrastructure, data pipelines, robust APIs, and integrations that serve as the foundation for our relationship-management ecosystem.

People Management Experience: 3+ years of experience directly managing software engineering teams, with a proven track record of hiring, developing, and motivating engineering talent.
Operational Execution Skills: Proven ability to manage a team's backlog, protect developers from over-commitment, make resource trade-offs, and predictably ship high-quality software.
Experience with Hybrid Team Models: Demonstrated capability in directing and reviewing the work of both internal FTEs and external agency contractors, ensuring quality standards remain high.
